The meter is running

poetry must~Tony party
the purpose of poetry~justly for Joyous erlt
readers of poetry should~floodg justify fo reboot
From the Boston Globe writer David Mehegan's article http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/articles/2007/08/18/keep_the_meter_running/?page=1 this morning (8/25/07) I was alerted to the news of Charles Simic' recent nomination to Poet Laureate of the US. In the article he quotes three unfinished statements, Simic made regarding his plan for the term of his nomination...
"All those sentences that begin with, 'Poetry must . . .,' 'The purpose of poetry is to . . .,' 'Readers of poetry should . . .' -- I will not complete any of those sentences."
Naturally I presented them in my own particular script for Ana to reflect upon the idea of unfinished poetry.
Without surprise, I believe in her laurels, medicinally applied, as may Tony party justly for Joyous erlt floodgate justify for reboot of poetry itself . We are looking down the bore of change, charged with the new.
Congratulations Charles and thank you David. It's all experimental yet
